When: Tuesday July 7th, 5:00pm Where: Eng. Sciences Building, room 2001 We are looking for new members & new officers for our small group. So far, with just four people and a time-commitment of about one meeting every one or two months, we have had the Photonics Society Distinguished Lecturers each year, held social barbecues sponsored by local companies & held our first large community Banquet. Two officers have even landed jobs at local companies that have sponsored our events! We are hoping to expand our activities over the next year, and need your help! At the meeting on Tuesday next week, we will describe the time commitments and benefits of being involved (for example landing local jobs!). We will also take nominations for the 6 officer positions at the meeting, and then have a vote for new officers, so if anyone you know is interested, we'd love them to come and consider running for one of the 6 positions (which we'll describe at the meeting).
