Taran Huffman
Taran is a graduate student researcher in the Optical Communications & Photonic Networks research group. He received his B.S. in Physics at USC.
Sudha Srinivasan
Sudha was a graduate student in the research group of Dr. John Bowers, and assumed the position of IPS president in October 2013. His research interests are in Silicon photonics and low noise mode-locked lasers. He currently works at Aurrion Inc, LLC.
Sudha was previously VP and treasurer of the Indian Music association 'Raagmala'. In his free time he enjoys painting and playing volleyball and basketball.

Renan Moreira
Renan, a founding officer of the IPS, received his PhD from the Blumenthal Research group, OCPN, studying low loss waveguides for systems applications. He currently works at Freedom Photonics LLC in Goleta.
Jared Bauters
Jared was the first president and founder of the UCSB Photonics Society, in October 2012. Having graduated from the Bowers research group in 2013, he currently works in the field of Silicon Photonics at Aurrion Inc, LLC in Goleta.
Jock Bovington
Jock was a founding officer of the UCSB IPS and the first Vice President. He received his PhD Degree in 2014 from Prof. John Bowers' group, and is now with Oracle.
Eric Stanton
Eric is a current graduate student in the Optoelectronics Research Group and is working on passive devices for multi-octave spectral combining. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly in 2012 prior to joining UCSB's ECE department.
