The UCSB Student Chapter was given the 2016 Chapter of the Year award by the IEEE Photonics Society! The Photonics Society at UCSB is the first student chapter to ever receive this award, which includes professional (non-student) chapters from around the world. We are honored to receive the award and hope that the recognition will help us to expand our activities, and better serve the local photonics community.
