After School Science Activities

Over the last few years the Outreach team has developed several activities that have been taught at local schools and the MOXI Wolf Science Museum.

Controlling Light

Use your phone with a thin piece of transparent plastic to make a "hologram" !

Fluorescence

Learn about the science of objects glowing under different colors of light. Make your own fluorescent mini lava lamp!

Color Mixing

Learn about how mixing colors can create new ones and how our eyes perceive color!

Transmit music with lasers and light detectors!
